This weekend, I got together with Tara from G&T Cooking Outside the Lines, which is a blog two of my friends started recently about healthy cooking & being creative in the kitchen. They share healthy recipes, weekly health hacks, food diaries, and beautiful pictures of their food.
We chatted about fitness, healthy eating, and had so much fun making smoothie bowls. I love them because they are fun, versatile, and nutritious. No smoothie is the same and there is no wrong way to make one! Plus, if you're not a huge fan of fruits or veggies (especially leafy greens), smoothies are a perfect way to sneak them into your meals.
I often make them as a quick breakfast, post-workout snack, or healthy treats. If you watch my Instagram stories, you know that I've been loving my banana-spinach, pumpkin pie, and funky monkey (choco-PJ-banana) smoothies lately. I also LOVE my single serve blender. I originally bought it to take on exchange this winter, but I love it so much that I use it almost every day. It was so cheap, blends really well (even ice), and is easy to clean. It is also perfect for smoothies on the go. This is the exact one I have (and highly recommend, especially for students).
