Exciting News: I'm Starting a Podcast!

Bear with me! I've had this idea in my head for a while, and the time just wasn't right last semester. Now that I'm on exchange and I have more free time than I've ever had in my life - no exaggeration, I realized there's no better time than the present!

As a recovering perfectionist, I am often battling a serious case of procrastination. I like to overanalyze and LOVE planning. The problem with that is sometime I do so much planning and never take action!

So, I realized there is no perfect time, and there is no time better than the present! I don't have the perfect cover art, a professional mic, a recording studio, or a detailed list of all of the things I am going to talk about. Heck, I don't even have the name figured out yet (suggestions welcome)!

I may be "missing" a lot of things, but I believe I have the most important things:

  • Messages I care deeply about

  • A drive to start

It certainly won't be perfect, and it probably won't be the best podcast you've ever listened to (at least, not in the beginning). It will not be heavily scripted or super serious. I am going to treat it like extended Instagram stories - just the two of us, hanging out! I am announcing this publicly to hold myself accountable and not talk myself out of this idea!

I really believe that a podcast is the best way to reach you because I know you're busy and podcasts are super convenient; you can listen to them anywhere, anytime! Plus, it's much more personal than written posts.

I already have a ton of ideas about different topics or stories, but I want to make sure that I am providing things that are helpful to YOU! I am going to need your support to keep me accountable and to give me honest feedback about ways I can improve!

Okay, that's all for now! I don't have the details figured out, but expect a not-perfect podcast coming to you soon!

xoxo,

Jess
